Location
Located on the main floor of a palazzo in the Venetian district of Castello, Locanda Ca' del Console overlooks one of the picturesque canals of Venice, near Campo Santa Maria Formosa, not far from Rialto and Saint Mark's square, the heart of the historical city center.
Also nearby, Campo San Giovanni e Paolo offers a wonderful coup d'oeil with the beautiful door of the 15th-century Civil Hospital, the largest Gothic church in Venice and the equestrian monument of Bartolomeo Colleoni. A few steps away from here, boats depart from the Fondamenta Nuove landing to the charming lagoon islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello.

Castello // During your stay at Locanda Ca’ del Console, you'll come into contact with the ancient Venetian district of Castello, where you'll ‘inhale’ Venice's truest atmosphere, hidden away behind the most remote street corners, far from the tourist trails, where the locals still visit in the calli or talk across the balconies, where the bed sheets are hung to dry in the sun and to witness romantic sunsets. Visit San Pietro di Castello and its church, renowned for being Venice's original settlement or head for the Biennale held at the Gardens. Continue along Via Garibaldi until you reach the Arsenale area, the birthplace of the invincible fleet of the Republic of the Serenissima.
Museo Grimani // The museum of Palazzo Grimani, located at Santa Maria Formosa, was reopened after long periods of restoration. It is located just ten minutes away from Locanda Ca’ del Console. Overlooking the rio at San Severo, the ancient residence of Doge Antonio Grimani holds the evocative Hall of Psyche, with frescoes by Francesco Menzocchi, Camillo Mantovano e Francesco Salviati, numerous classical art pieces and modern multimedia equipment. Very valuable paintings and sculptures are also on display, such as ''Visions of the Afterlife''' by Bosch.

- By Air / From Venice's international ‘Marco Polo’ airport, take the ferry Alilaguna Blu and get off at the Fondamenta Nuove landing; from here, continue along Fondamenta dei Mendicanti, go past Campo San Giovanni e Paolo, Calle Bressana, and Ponte Minich: Locanda Ca' del Console awaits you at street number 6217 /// From the Treviso ‘Canova’ airport, take any service to Piazzale Roma; from there, take line 2 ferry, get off at Rialto and continue across Campo San Bartolomeo, Sotoportego Della Bissa and Salizada San Lio until you reach Campo Santa Maria Formosa; from here, take Calle Lunga S. Maria Formosa and take the fourth turn to the left (Calle Trevisan). Locanda Ca' del Console awaits you at street number 6217.
- By Car / Once you arrive in Venice on highway A4, follow signs to Venezia. Once you reach the Piazzale Roma car terminal, take the line 2 ferry and follow directions in 'By Air' section.
- By Train / From the Santa Lucia train station go to the landing stage located in front of the exit, on the left; take the line 2 ferry and follow directions in ‘By Air’ section.
